Buenos Aires bleibt die Wiege des Tangos.
Doch die Magie des Tangos lebt nicht nur dort.
Seit vielen Jahren zeigt der Tango Salon Stuttgart unter der Leitung von Judita Zapatero, dass außergewöhnlicher Unterricht, internationale Gastpaare und echte Tango-Leidenschaft auch hier ein Zuhause gefunden haben.
Von Mittwoch bis Sonntag dürfen wir zwei außergewöhnliche Künstler begrüßen:
✨ Ornella Simonetto & Juan David Vargas ✨
Die beiden gehören zu den faszinierendsten Persönlichkeiten der internationalen Tangoszene. Ihr Tanz verbindet technische Brillanz mit tiefer Emotionalität, Musikalität und einer Verbindung, die man nicht erklären muss – man spürt sie.
Wer die beiden erlebt, merkt schnell: Hier geht es nicht um Figuren. Hier geht es um Kommunikation, Vertrauen, Ausdruck und die Kunst, Musik sichtbar zu machen.
Die regulären Kurse beginnen bereits am Mittwoch. Am Wochenende folgen intensive Spezial-Workshops für alle, die tiefer eintauchen möchten.
🎤 In diesem Blogartikel findet ihr ein besonderes Interview mit Ornella Simonetto und Juan David Vargas.
Das Gespräch entstand während der letzten Tango-Weltmeisterschaft – zwischen den Wettbewerbsrunden. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war noch offen, welche Paare am Ende ganz vorne landen würden.
Umso spannender ist es heute, auf diese Begegnung zurückzublicken. In den vergangenen Jahren haben wir immer wieder Tänzerinnen und Tänzer interviewt, die später zu den erfolgreichsten Paaren ihrer Generation gehörten.
Ein besonderer Dank gilt Judita Zapatero und ihrem Team, die immer wieder die Voraussetzungen dafür schaffen, dass internationale Künstler und außergewöhnliche Tänzerpersönlichkeiten nach Stuttgart kommen.
☕💃🕺 Der Höhepunkt der Woche erwartet uns am Sonntag beim Tango-Tanz-Tee im Tango Salon Stuttgart.
Für die Musik sorgt Rafael Mendaro.
Rafael stammt ursprünglich aus Buenos Aires und war viele Jahre Teil der legendären La Viruta.
La Viruta hat für die moderne Tango-Geschichte eine besondere Bedeutung. Über Jahrzehnte hinweg fanden dort unzählige junge Menschen ihren Weg zum Tango. Die Abende begannen spät und endeten oft erst morgens um sechs – traditionell mit Medialunas und einer heißen Schokolade oder einem Kaffee.
Besonders freut uns, dass Rafael seine Tochter Lucía mit nach Stuttgart bringt.
Während meines Besuchs am Bodensee hatte ich die Gelegenheit, mich länger mit Rafael auszutauschen. Dabei haben wir schnell gemerkt, dass uns etwas sehr verbindet: die Freude darüber, dass unsere Kinder ebenfalls ihren eigenen Weg im Tango gefunden haben.
Lucía studiert Kommunikation, ist kreativ und gehört zu jener jungen Generation, die zeigt, dass Tango kein Museum ist, sondern eine lebendige Kultur.
Vielleicht ist genau das eine der schönsten Botschaften dieses Wochenendes:
Der Tango lebt nicht nur von seiner Geschichte.
Er lebt von den Menschen, die ihn heute tanzen.
Und von den jungen Menschen, die ihn morgen weitertragen.

But the magic of tango is not limited to Argentina.
For many years Tango Salon Stuttgart, under the direction of Judita Zapatero, has shown that world-class tango can also be experienced in Stuttgart.
From Wednesday to Sunday we welcome two extraordinary artists:
✨ Ornella Simonetto & Juan David Vargas ✨
Their dance combines technical excellence, deep emotion, musicality and a connection that can be felt in every movement.
This visit is special because we can experience them not only in a performance, but throughout an entire week of classes, workshops and personal encounters.
🎤 In this article you will also find an interview with Ornella and Juan David, recorded during the last Tango World Championship between competition rounds.
At that moment nobody knew how the championship would end.
Looking back today makes the interview even more fascinating.
☕💃🕺 The highlight of the week will be the Tango Tea Dance on Sunday at Tango Salon Stuttgart.
Music will be provided by Rafael Mendaro from Buenos Aires.
Rafael spent many years at the legendary La Viruta, one of the most influential places in modern tango history.
La Viruta introduced thousands of young people to tango and helped keep tango vibrant, social and attractive for new generations.
Rafael will also bring his daughter Lucía to Stuttgart.
Lucía studies communication, is highly creative and represents a new generation that proves tango is very much alive and constantly evolving.
Perhaps this is one of the most beautiful messages of this weekend:
Tango does not live only through its history.
It lives through the people dancing it today.
And through the young people who will carry it into the future.

Buenos Aires sigue siendo la cuna del tango.
Pero la magia del tango no vive solamente en Argentina.
Desde hace muchos años, el Tango Salon Stuttgart, bajo la dirección de Judita Zapatero, demuestra que también es posible vivir tango de nivel internacional en Stuttgart.
De miércoles a domingo tendremos el placer de recibir a dos artistas extraordinarios:
✨ Ornella Simonetto y Juan David Vargas ✨
Su baile combina excelencia técnica, profunda emoción, musicalidad y una conexión que se percibe en cada movimiento.
Lo especial de esta visita es que podremos disfrutar de ellos no solamente en una exhibición, sino durante toda una semana de clases, talleres y encuentros personales.
🎤 En este artículo también encontrarán una entrevista con Ornella y Juan David realizada durante el último Campeonato Mundial de Tango entre rondas de competición.
En aquel momento todavía nadie sabía cómo terminaría el campeonato.
Por eso resulta tan interesante volver a verla hoy.
☕💃🕺 El punto culminante de la semana será el Tango-Tanz-Tee del domingo en el Tango Salon Stuttgart.
La música estará a cargo de Rafael Mendaro.
Rafael formó parte durante muchos años de la legendaria La Viruta, uno de los lugares más importantes de la historia moderna del tango.
Miles de jóvenes descubrieron el tango allí y ayudaron a mantenerlo vivo, social y atractivo para nuevas generaciones.
Rafael también traerá a su hija Lucía a Stuttgart.
Lucía estudia comunicación, es muy creativa y representa a una nueva generación que demuestra que el tango sigue vivo y evolucionando.
Quizás ese sea uno de los mensajes más hermosos de este fin de semana:
